Synopsis

Buku ini ditulis sebagai panduan kepada para guru, keluarga, MBPK dan masyarakat tentang pendekatan yang boleh digunakan dalam membantu MBPK MP menentukan masa depan kerjaya dan kehidupan mereka. Buku ini ditulis berdasarkan kajian yang telah dijalankan terhadap pelaksanaan Program Transisi Kerjaya (PTK) MBPK MP di sekolah yang telah dapat melahirkan murid yang mampu mendapat dan mengekalkan pekerjaan hasil daripada program tersebut.

Buku ini membincangkan dan menjelaskan tentang tujuh amalan dalam pelaksanaan PTK untuk MBPK MP iaitu persekolahan, perancangan berpusatkan murid, struktur program, kolaborasi bersama institusi pendidikan vokasional awam, swasta dan industri, penglibatan keluarga, perkembangan murid dan kesediaan pengalaman kerja murid. Selain itu, perkara yang dikupas di dalam buku ini juga adalah berkaitan penglibatan industri dalam pelaksanaan PTK tersebut yang boleh dijadikan panduan dalam pelaksanaannya. Seterusnya, cabaran dalam pelaksanaan PTK turut dijelaskan yang membawa kepada pelbagai cadangan penambahbaikan program.
