Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the dimensions and compliance of the speed bump in Parit Raja, Batu Pahat. It highlights issues like vehicle damage and hindrance to emergency vehicles. The issue emphasizes improper installations, causing safety concerns. The aims of this study were to assess dimensions, compliance and deviations, focusing on contributing to road safety in the selected location (Parit Raja, Malaysia). Manual inspections were conducted, and the measurement was using measuring tape on the selected speed bump. As a result, it is found that the specification of a speed bump at Parit Raja does not follow the compliance of speed bump based on JKR requirements, and it is recommended to make immediate adjustments, monitoring programs, and collaborative efforts for improved road safety.
