Abstract

The purpose of the study was to identify the fire suppression systems present in Malaysia's historic structures. Due to this study's identification of the fire prevention system, the National Heritage Department has gazette old buildings as heritage structures. As a result, the fire prevention system for heritage buildings in Malaysia is crucial to ensuring their safety from being destroyed by fire. on systems in historic structures has made everyone aware of the significance of fire safety. The lack of fire prevention measures and Fire Certificates (FC), heritage buildings in Malaysia that are determined to be at high risk if there is a fire occurrence, and the building structure are just a few of the issues that have been effectively brought to light. Identifying the status of the fire prevention system that ensures the recognition of the Fire Certificate (FC) of heritage buildings in Malaysia and identifying the state of fire prevention systems of heritage buildings that are still operational are the goals of this study. The technique of this study involves conducting interviews and reviewing the literature to come up with writing topics. Therefore, everyone is now aware of the significance of fire safety thanks to the research into finding fire prevention measures in heritage buildings.
