AI Usage Policy
The journal acknowledges the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in academic writing and supports their responsible use to enhance the quality and clarity of scholarly work. Authors are permitted to use AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar platforms for non-substantive tasks including grammar correction, language refinement, text summarization, and reference formatting. These applications are particularly encouraged when they serve to improve readability or assist authors who may not be native English speakers.
However, the use of AI must be limited to these supportive functions. Authors are strictly prohibited from using AI tools to fabricate, simulate, or manipulate research data, statistical findings, or experimental results. Likewise, the generation of visual materials such as images, diagrams, figures, or data visualizations using AI is not allowed. Any attempt to submit content that includes AI-fabricated data or images will be considered a violation of research ethics and may result in immediate rejection or post-publication retraction of the manuscript.
In accordance with established academic and publishing standards, AI tools must not be listed as authors or co-authors under any circumstances. Authorship is reserved for individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the work and can take responsibility for its content. The use of AI does not meet these criteria.
To ensure transparency, authors are required to disclose any AI assistance used in the preparation of their manuscript. This disclosure should be included either in the Acknowledgments section or under a dedicated heading such as “Declaration of AI Use in Manuscript Preparation.” An appropriate example of such a statement would be:
“The authors used [name of AI tool] to assist in [e.g., grammar checking, language editing]. All content generated was reviewed and verified by the authors, who take full responsibility for the final submission.”
This policy aims to encourage responsible innovation while safeguarding the integrity of scholarly communication.
